Founded in 2006 by Rae Dwyer, Petticoat Painters is a female-led, family-run painting, decorating and refurbishment company based in London & Whitstable, Kent.

We pride ourselves on delivering exceptional results with a friendly, approachable attitude. We believe in kindness, good manners and a healthy dose of humour! That’s why we go above and beyond to take care of our clients, from sourcing your perfect shade of paint to a simple cup of tea (and a biscuit, if you’re lucky).

Since taking up the brush 15 years ago, our family team of labourers, painters and decorators have built an impressively broad- ranging portfolio. From central London office blocks to the homes of premier footballers, we’ve refurbished the lot! But we not only about the ‘big’ projects. We’re just as happy working our magic on huts, boats and beach cabins along Whitstable’s beautiful seafront. It’s one of the many reasons we’ve made Kent’s Riviera our home.

Rae Dwyer

Founder & Head Honcho

Rae is a renovator, photographer, enthusiastic tea-drinker and self-confessed ‘jack-the- lad’. Inspired by her love for property and architecture, Rae studied painting and decorating at college before establishing Petticoat Painters in 2006. A natural born artist and ‘people person’, Rae loves bringing her client’s visions to life and sees every new project as a opportunity to raise the bar.

Té Azha Sataur

Painter & Decorator

Té Azha is a talented painter and decorator with a passion for DIY and and borderline houseplant obsession. She loves being part of the transformation process and working with her hands — both at work and at home. Te describes herself as ‘a bit of tree-hugger’ and is currently nurturing 15 baby oaks from acorns she found in the forest. Bless.
